Volunteer Call-Out

We’re currently looking for volunteers in the following areas:

1. We’re seeking new members for our Fundraising and Grants Working Group. We are looking for experienced grant-writers who can volunteer several hours on a weekly basis. Working Group members provide support in researching, identifying and applying to qualifiable grants to support long-term sustainability of our work. If you’re interested, please reach out with some details about yourself and applicable fundraising and/or grant-writing experience you may bring by writing to migrantworkerrights.ns (at) gmail.com   

2. We’re seeking volunteers who have EAL/ESL teaching experience or expertise to provide support with an exciting new initiative: an English class for migrant workers in the HRM, which we will launch in the new year! Through this initiative, our aim is to improve migrant workers’ community connections and deliver essential workplace safety and rights information, while teaching language skills.
